1950's Style Jive (Rock & Roll)

Classic 6 and 8 beat jive, integrated with Rock 'n' Roll and Jitterbug.

All the moves of original rock 'n' roll and many, many more! Based on six and eight beat steps and double-time footwork, this dance is suitable for fast paced music, 170 b.p.m. and above, i.e. all your old favorites – Rock Around The Clock, and loads more you've probably forgotten!

Dance Lessons

We teach 1950's Jive (Rock & Roll) on Tuesdays at St Nicholas Church Hall, Prestwick.

The first hour is a course structure for Beginners, after that Intermediates and Advanced pupils join in and also learn Le Roc and West Coast Swing if they wish.
